Where were you born?
Long Beach, CA.
What college did you attend?
Cal State Long Beach & National University.
What inspired you to start playing music?
My mother was a pianist and an uncle played the violin.
Why did you choose your principal instrument?
Teachers told me I was too small to play cello in the fourth grade, so it was violin!
What other instruments do you play?
None well, but dabble in most!
When did you start playing with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra (what year)?
1980.
With what other orchestras do you perform?
Many throughout the Southland.
Have you performed for any of the following, and if so, who or what?
Film: Paramount Studios.
Recordings: Published & personal.
Touring Artists: Many!
Who is your favorite composer?
So many favorites, but probably Bach.
Why?
I love to play Bach!
What is your favorite orchestral work?
Depends who conducts it!
What do you enjoy doing besides music? (hobbies, etc.)
Church, camping, jemstone & jewelry shows and study of American Indians.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Coffee.
Do you have family, kids, or pets that youd like to share something about?
I live with a vibrant family, my husband and our two children.
Is there anything unique youd like our audience to know about you?
I teach Instrumental Music in the Public Schools (Garden Grove). I start kids on their first instruments.
