What inspired you to start playing music?
My mother.
Why did you choose your principal instrument?
My mother played the violin and started me on it when I was four.

None.
When did you start playing with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra (what year)?
1990.
With what other orchestras do you perform?
Downey Symphony (Concertmaster), Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the South Bay Civic Light Opera.
Have you performed for any of the following, and if so, who or what?
Film:
“Matrix”, “Matrix Reloaded”, “A Beautiful Mind”, “Rush Hour 2”, etc.

Yes, many.

“Batman”, “Superman”, “Futurama” and many more.
Television:
“Enterprise”, “JAG” and many TV movies.
Who is your favorite composer?
Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn and Mahler.
Why?
They all have wonderful things.
What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you while onstage?
Wearing the same black outfit as JoAnn Falleta at a concert!
What do you enjoy doing besides music (hobbies, etc.)?
Horseback riding—jumping and dressage, reading and traveling.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate chocolate chip.
Do you have family, kids, or pets that you’d like to share something about?
Two cats—Pearl (girl) who is all black and Cossette (girl) who is tan and gray, and a horse named Baron.
Is there anything unique you’d like our audience to know about you?
I grew up in a musical family—my father is a conductor and clarinetist, and my mother is a violinist.
