What inspired you to start playing music?
All my family played instruments. When my sister quit playing the flute I picked it up.
Why did you choose your principal instrument?
My sister quit, so there was an instrument available in the house.
What other instruments do you play?
Piccolo, alto flute, bass flute.
When did you start playing with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra (what year)?
1995.
Have you performed for any of the following, and if so, who or what?
Film: “The Patriot”, “Scream 3”, “Enough”, “Meet Joe Black”.
Recordings: “Sunset Blvd” (musical), my own CD titled “My Favorites”.
Who is your favorite composer?
J.S. Bach.
Why?
Fun to play, never get sick of listening to it.
What is your favorite orchestral work?
Anything with a great flute solo.
What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you while onstage?
At a musical in the orchestra pit, the concertmaster got angry, stood up, yelled at the actors on stage and stormed out of the pit during a performance and never came back.
What do you enjoy doing besides music? (hobbies, etc.)
Cooking, reading, Tae-Bo.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint chocolate chip.
Do you have family, kids, or pets that you’d like to share something about?
Husband is Erik, from Brooklyn and is an attorney.

From a family of seven—5 boys, 2 girls.
